One of Türkiye’s leading defence engineering companies, STM will showcase its combat-proven tactical UAV systems at DronTech Asia, highlighting its advanced capabilities in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and swarm intelligence, with UAV solutions deployed across four continents.
STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş., operating under the majority ownership of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB), will participate in DronTech Asia, showcasing its KARGU Loitering Munition System, TOGAN Tactical Surveillance UAV and BOYGA Ammunition Drop UAV.
With 35 years of defence engineering experience, STM develops advanced tactical UAV systems and autonomous technologies. Its combat-proven UAV systems have been exported to more than 15 countries across four continents, demonstrating their effectiveness in diverse geographical, climatic and operational conditions.
Combat-Proven UAV Systems Trusted Worldwide
STM's tactical UAV systems have been deployed by the Turkish Armed Forces and Turkish security forces in counter-terrorism operations, cross-border missions and special operations for years.
KARGU, which entered the Turkish Armed Forces' inventory in 2018, is a rotary-wing loitering munition system capable of precision strikes. Equipped with electro-optical and infrared sensors, AI-supported image processing and interchangeable warheads, KARGU provides operational flexibility in complex battlefield environments.
TOGAN, STM's tactical surveillance UAV, provides autonomous reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence capabilities with advanced target detection and tracking. Integrated with STM's KERKES technology, TOGAN can navigate independently of GNSS signals, including in electronic warfare environments.
BOYGA, operational with the Turkish Armed Forces since 2022, delivers customized 81 mm UAV ammunition using advanced ballistic estimation algorithms. The system has demonstrated its effectiveness in military exercises and operational deployments, achieving its first export success in 2024.
Advanced Autonomy, AI and Swarm Intelligence
Beyond individual UAV platforms, STM develops indigenous technologies in artificial intelligence, autonomous navigation, distributed swarm intelligence and coordinated multi-UAV operations. At the EFES-2026 military exercise, STM achieved a global milestone when a swarm of 20 KARGU loitering munitions successfully neutralized designated targets using live ammunition within an integrated military exercise scenario. Under the supervision of a single operator, the swarm autonomously navigated to the target area and executed a synchronized attack. STM continues to advance heterogeneous swarming, GNSS-independent navigation and multi-domain autonomous technologies to meet evolving operational requirements.
Expanding Autonomous Capabilities Across Multiple Domains
STM expanded its unmanned systems portfolio by introducing KUZGUN Long-Range Loitering Munition, TURUL Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) UAV, TOGAN-M Tactical Surveillance UAV and ALPAGU-B Fixed-Wing Loitering Munition at SAHA EXPO 2026 in Istanbul, while also developing unmanned maritime platforms, including STM TENGİZ Extra Large Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (XLUUV), STM NETA Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) and STM YAKTU Kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vehicle (KUSV), extending its autonomous engineering capabilities across air, surface and underwater domains. Combining combat-proven platforms, advanced software architectures and operational experience, STM continues to develop next-generation autonomous solutions tailored to the requirements of armed forces and security organizations worldwide.
